A year after winning its first ever Section 2 Championship, the Columbia Boys’ Tennis Team repeated that feat on Monday by defeating Queensbury 6-1 and claiming the 2026 Section 2 Class A Championship.
Columbia won both of its doubles matches – Aashrith Morkonda/Owen Valenchis (6-0, 6-2) and Ignacio Lopez/Barron Melino (6-0, 7-5) – followed by William Bollam (7-5, 6-1) and Matthew Milanese (3-6, 6-1, 6-0) in singles to clinch the victory.

The Blue Devils advance to play the Section 2 Class AA champion (Shaker and Bethlehem play on Thursday, May 21). Should the Blue Devils win, they would move on to the NYS tournament.
