The Columbia High School Math League completed an exciting and successful season by placing first in the regional competition. Competing in the New York State Math League contests, the mathematicians have demonstrated exceptional skill and problem-solving.
Within Columbia’s own school competition, there were also several standout individual performances. Congratulations to Brady Mosher, who earned first place, followed by Shudipto Sikder in second place, and Omkar Kamat in third place.

Columbia Math League top finishers (L to R): Shudipto Sikder in second place, Brady Mosher in first place, and Omkar Kamat in third place.
“These top scorers—and the entire team—have shown outstanding mathematical talent and perseverance,” said Columbia Math League Advisor Marilyn Thompson. “I want to send a big thank you to our Math League officers: President Allison Hutton, Vice President Amulya Ryali, and Social Media Team Brooke Couch, Lynn Jeffers, Claude Spanswick and Sai Nidhish Sriperamburduri, who did a fantastic job encouraging participation and keeping the group informed and engaged throughout the year.”
Special thanks to Stewart’s Shops and our very own Columbia PTO, whose contributions helped make this successful season possible. Go Blue Devils Math!
