Kim Turner was re-elected president of the Board of Education for the 2026-27 school year.
The East Greenbush Central School District Board of Education elected officers for the 2026-27 school year at its organizational meeting on Wednesday evening.
Kim Turner (president), Catherine Van Orden (vice president) and Samantha Phillips (deputy treasurer) were all re-elected to their same positions. Rob Panasci was elected as assistant clerk.
“I am honored to continue serving as president and grateful for the board’s ongoing support,” said Mrs. Turner. “Last year was a year of significant transition, and I’m proud of our progress. This year will bring new challenges and opportunities. I know that we will work together to continue to serve our students, strengthen our district, and move forward on our path to becoming a lighthouse district.”
The organizational meeting preceded the board’s first regular meeting of the 2026-27 school year.
During the meeting, Shay Harrison, Rob Marchiony, and Jesse Temple took their oaths of office. They were elected to three-year terms in May.
Additionally, William Bollam ’27 and Eliot Merritt ’28 will serve as the student representatives on the Board of Education.
