The East Greenbush Central School District is hosting a Summer Fun Day for the community on Saturday, August 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Genet Elementary School in East Greenbush. This is the culminating event from the school district’s Summer Family Fun series.
Summer Fun Day will feature family friendly activities including bounce houses, food trucks, a magic show, face painting, raffles, lawn games, and more!
Entry and activities are all free! Food trucks will be selling food and drinks throughout the event.

Q: Is Summer Fun Day open to anyone?
A: Yes. This is a community event and open to all families.
Q: Is there a cost to attend Summer Fun Day?
A: Entry and activities including bounce houses, the magic show, and face painting are all free! The only cost will be for purchase of food and drink at the food trucks.
Q: Is there a cost for raffle tickets?
A: No. Raffle tickets will be distributed for free to attendees at our community organization tables.
Q: What are the raffle prizes?
A: Raffle prizes include gift cards to local businesses, a Yeti cooler, and youth bicycles with helmets.
Q: Where should we park at Genet?
A: Cars can enter at either Route 4 or Englewood Avenue. Parking signs will be posted and staff will be there to assist with directing traffic. If needed, overflow parking will be available at Goff Middle School with a shuttle bus running between Goff and Genet. The shuttle bus will leave Goff every 30 minutes starting at 11:30 a.m.
Q: Will bathrooms be available?
A: Yes. Bathrooms will be available in two locations inside Genet 1) through the courtyard in the main hallway and 2) through the cafeteria doors.
Q: What if it rains?
A: In the event of inclement weather, the school district may use the rain date and reschedule the event to Sunday, August 30. School district staff will monitor the weather forecast leading up to the event. Any change to the schedule will be communicated on the school district website and social media.
