Red Mill Elementary School students receive backpacks from Columbia High School’s Key Club School Supply Drive.
The Columbia High School Key Club led a school supply initiative this summer, collecting donations from local businesses and community members throughout the Capital Region. Through the drive, the Key Club was able to fill 60 backpacks with essential school supplies, which were donated to students in the East Greenbush and Albany school districts. Red Mill Elementary School received several of the backpacks to distribute to students.
“Receiving these school supplies is a tremendous help to our families, but the real magic is seeing Columbia High School students invest in and give back to their own school community,” said Red Mill Elementary School Principal James Derby. “The Key Club’s generosity creates a meaningful connection between our schools, reminding our Red Mill students that they are part of one caring and supportive community. These donations provide our students with supplies they need while also showing them the power of kindness, generosity, and looking out for one another.”
Thank you to the Columbia Key Club and the generous community organizations for helping provide school supplies for our students.
