FAQ: Elevate Summer School Program

Q: What are the dates of this Summer School Program?
A: The Elevate Summer School Program starts on Tuesday, July 6 and it ends on Friday, July 30.

Q: Do students need to attend all four weeks of this program?
A: Ideally, students would complete all four weeks of the summer school program, but we would accept a commitment of three weeks.

Q: When will families be informed of acceptance into this program?
A: Notification of acceptance will be on or around June 11th. This will be followed up with more information from summer school teachers.

Q: Will breakfast or lunch be provided for my child?
A: No meals will be provided during the summer session.

Q: Why is Transportation not being provided?
A: Given our current situation with the number of bus drivers available for the month of July, we are unable to provide transportation for all enrolled students. We are asking parents to make every effort to provide their own transportation for their child.

Q: What is considered a hardship case for transportation?
A: Hardship would mean economically disadvantaged. Each case will be evaluated on a case by case basis by (decision will be determined with all stakeholders involved including transportation and administration) on whether or not your situation is considered a hardship.

Q: Are school supplies being provided for my child?
A: All students will keep their Chromebook for the summer and bring it with them daily. Students need to bring in their own supplies. Textbooks will be provided by the school.
