The New York State Grades 3-8 English Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics Exams and the Grades 5 and 8 Science Exams will be administered this spring. These tests are required by the federal Every Student Succeeds Act of 2015.

Genet Elementary School is donating 1,348 soup cans and 138 cans of vegetables to the CoNSERNS-U food pantry and the Rensselaer Street Soldiers following its annual Souper Bowl can drive in February. The Souper Bowl is coordinated by Genet Student Council.
