The East Greenbush Central School District has a long tradition of giving back to the community, particularly during the holidays. This year, due to the pandemic, there is greater need than ever. The East Greenbush Central School District was notified today that an employee from Genet Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member has not had contact with students and has not been in the school since November 10. The district is in communication with both Rensseler and Albany County Health Departments and there have been no identified exposures at the school.
There will be a half day for all students in grades K-5 on Thursday, November 19 due to parent conferences. The dismissal schedule for each school is listed below.

The East Greenbush Central School District will be closed on Wednesday, November 11 in observance of Veterans Day. Schools will reopen on Thursday, November 12.
Governor Andrew Cuomo has announced a change in the quarantine requirements for those traveling into or returning to New York State. Effective November 4, 2020, any staff member or student who travels to another state, other than those contiguous to New York, may “test out” of the mandatory 14-day quarantine to return to in-person work or school. Travel to and from states contiguous to New York (Massachusetts, Vermont, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania) are exempt from the quarantine requirements.
