A reminder for all students: You need your Student ID to visit the library. If you lost your ID, you need to go to Mr. Malloy’s office to obtain a new one.
The GSA/Pride Club will meet tomorrow, after school, at 2:15 pm, in Room N-304. New members are always welcome! If you have any questions, please see Mrs. Hladik.
The CHS Clay Target Team is holding an informational meeting tomorrow, right after school in Room N-314. Stop by and learn about Columbia’s competitive shooting team! No experience necessary! See Mrs. Gedney in Room N-314 or Mr. Batcher with any questions.
Attention Seniors – It is time to start thinking about Graduation! One honor awarded to a graduating member of the Class of 2026 will be the title of “Class Poet Laureate”. To get this title, you need to submit a poem to Mrs. Shaw by Friday, February 13th. See the flyers around the school for info or your teachers may have shared details on Google Classroom. A group of faculty judges will choose the student who gets this title. If you win, you will get to perform your poem at the Commencement ceremony in June AND have your poem printed in the yearbook. If you have any questions, see Mrs. Shaw in Room S-309.
There are two upcoming Five Hour Pre-Licensing Courses. The first session will be on Wednesday, February 18th and Thursday, February 19th from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm both evenings. This is over Winter Break. The second session is scheduled for Monday, March 30th and Tuesday, March 31st – just before Spring Break. Persons who are 16 and have a valid learner’s permit are welcome to take this course. You need to take this course in order to sign up for a road test. The class being offered is virtual, using Google Meet. If you are interested in taking this course, please sign up in the Main Office. See Mr. Tooker in Room S-121 with any questions.
The Columbia Players will be performing “Pippin” the musical on Thursday, February 26 at 7 p.m., Friday, February 27 at 7:00 p.m., and Saturday, February 28 at 7:00 p.m. in the high school auditorium.

The Help Desk hours are Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
The next HVCC Instant Admission day will be held on Thursday, April 30th. Please stop by the Guidance Office to sign up for a timeslot and take an instruction sheet.
School cafeterias will be serving Macaroni & Cheese, Oven Roasted Chicken, Walking Tacos with Nacho Doritos, Sandwiches, Salads, and more in the month of February.
