One of the differences between the three athletic divisions at colleges and universities is that Division I and Division II may offer athletic scholarships, while Division III cannot. There are specific high school academic requirements to obtain eligibility to participate in a Division I or Division II school. Those requirements can be found here.

- NCAA Eligibility Center – during junior year, students should log on to the Eligibility Center to begin the initial eligibility process.
