The East Greenbush Central School District has partnered with STOPit Solutions to provide students and families with an online reporting tool designed to deter and mitigate bullying, cyber abuse, and other inappropriate behaviors.
Anonymous reporting can be done through an online form or the STOPit mobile app. Once a tip is submitted, it is sent automatically to school administrators (or when they are out of office to a STOPit Incident Response Center which is operational 24/7). Once the report is received, school administrators will respond to the tip.
Students are encouraged to bring any issues to a trusted adult, whether that is a parent, a teacher, a bus driver or principal. Now they can also use STOPit to reach out for help if they or a peer are facing a personal crisis or experiencing bullying, abuse, or are otherwise in need of assistance.
Protecting Privacy
No personal information is needed to use STOPit. The only way personally identifiable information will be accessible through STOPit is if a requester voluntarily includes it within the content of a request or message.
Both the East Greenbush CSD and STOPit are committed to protecting the privacy of student data.
