Capital Project Breaking News
The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a Capital Project that would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools. The estimated cost for the proposed project is $116 million, but due to state building aid and expiring debt, it is estimated there would be no additional impact to local taxpayers.

Columbia Adds Unified Bocce Team
Columbia High School will offer a new Unified Bocce team for students this fall, following a proposal to the Board of Education at its public meeting on Wednesday evening. Starting in September, the team will be open to all students in grades 9-12, bringing together those with and without intellectual disabilities to train, compete, and build friendships.
Chick-fil-A School Supply Drive to Benefit Red Mill Students
Chick-fil-A in North Greenbush is hosting a School Supply Drive to benefit Red Mill Elementary School students starting August 10 through September 5. Anyone who donates a school supply to Chick-fil-A in North Greenbush during that timeframe will receive a free chicken sandwich digital gift card.
Columbia High School Class of 2006 Celebrates 20th Reunion
The Columbia High School Class of 2006 is invited to celebrate its 20th class reunion on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Salsa Latina in East Greenbush.
Board of Education Meeting – August 5
The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, August 5 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Administration conference room.
Summer School and Other Programs Canceled – Wednesday, July 29
All student programs in the East Greenbush CSD including ESY Summer School, APEX, GCC and sports camps will be closed Wednesday, July 29 due to flooding caused by heavy rain.
Columbia Freshman and New Student Orientation – August 26
Columbia High School will welcome its incoming 9th graders and any new students to Freshman and New Student Orientation on Wednesday, August 26 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.
