Capital Project Breaking News
The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a Capital Project that would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools. The estimated cost for the proposed project is $116 million, but due to state building aid and expiring debt, it is estimated there would be no additional impact to local taxpayers.

Green Meadow Elementary School hosted Field Day for grades 1-5 on Thursday and for pre-k and kindergarten earlier today. Students competed in track and field events and participated in fun games such as potato sack races, cup stacking and water balloon toss.
Goff Students of the Month – May 2025
Administrators at Howard L. Goff Middle School recognized the May Students of the Month on Friday morning in the school cafeteria. Students were nominated by teachers for showing the character trait of “Citizenship.” Congratulations!
22 Columbia Students Inducted Into National Technical Honor Society
Twenty-two Columbia High School students enrolled in Career and Technical Education courses through Questar III BOCES were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society this spring and recognized at the Board of Education meeting on May 28. Congratulations!

As graduation approaches and the Class of 2025 prepares for its next stage in life, teachers and staff who are retiring are doing the same. It is bittersweet as they embark on new and exciting possibilities but also leave meaningful careers in education.

Donald P. Sutherland Elementary School hosted its annual Field Day on Wednesday with students rotating through fun games and activities at the field behind school. Stations included cup stacking, hippity hop races, potato sack races, cooperative games, and water balloon toss. Students also cooled down with freeze pops!
