Capital Project Breaking News
The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a Capital Project that would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools. The estimated cost for the proposed project is $116 million, but due to state building aid and expiring debt, it is estimated there would be no additional impact to local taxpayers.

Podcast Episode 11: Character Education
The East Greenbush CSD released Episode 11 of its podcast Let’s Learn Together today. In this episode, Superintendent Jeff Simons discusses character education with DPS Principal Jack Alvey and 5th Grade Teacher Sue D’Amico. Also, we remind voters of the School Budget Vote and Board Election, elementary students tell us about their favorite activities at recess, the staff profile features Art Teacher Karli Powers, we feature the Columbia Girls’ Flag Football Team in the Student Activity Spotlight, and Mr. Simons promotes upcoming school events.
Budget Vote and Board Election – Tuesday, May 21
Residents of the East Greenbush Central School District will vote on the proposed school budget for 2024-25 on Tuesday, May 21. Polls are open from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Hooked On Fishing at Goff Middle School
For the second year in a row, Howard L. Goff Middle School is offering students the opportunity to learn about fishing through hands-on activities. More than 40 students attended an afterschool workshop on Thursday in the school gym led by Social Studies Teacher Shawn Yearsley and volunteers from the Home Waters Chapter of Trout Unlimited, the Rensselaer County Conservation Alliance, and Regeneron.

Columbia High School was transformed into a stunning art gallery on Thursday evening as it hosted the 2024 District-wide Art Show. Hallways were lined and display cases were filled with beautiful artwork created by students in grades K-12.
Columbia Regents Exam Schedule – June 2024
Columbia High School will administer Regents Exams on June 4, June 14-18 and June 20-25. There will be no school those days except for students taking exams. (All other schools in the district will be in session.)
