Board of Education Meeting – Wednesday, July 15

A Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 15 at 6:00 p.m. in the Central Administration Conference Room, 29 Englewood Ave., East Greenbush, NY 12061. There will be an organizational meeting followed by the regular board meeting.

Summer Family Fun

Summer Family Fun banner imageThe East Greenbush Central School District has scheduled a variety of Summer Family Fun events for students, staff and families to stay connected over summer vacation. We hope to see you this summer!

Playground Meetup
Informal gathering at the Genet Playground for kids to play and parents to connect. All are welcome!

  • Thursday, July 9 from 6:00-8:00 p.m.

Pickleball Open Play
Families are invited to play pickleball at the Columbia Pickleball Courts on Iroquois Place (between Genet and Country True Value) on Saturday mornings in July.

  • Saturdays in July from 9:00-11:00 a.m. (July 11, 18, 25)
  • $6/person per hour and families can reserve a court by calling 518-275-0941 or visiting the Columbia Courts website
  • Paddles and balls are available to borrow. Non-marking or gel shoes are preferred.

Bowling Night
An East Greenbush Schools Bowling Night at East Greenbush Bowling Center.

  • Friday, July 17 from 7:00-9:00 p.m.
  • $16/person includes bowling and shoe rental
  • We have 16 lanes reserved and more can be added as needed

Green Meadow Meet and Greet with Principal O’Malley
Green Meadow students and their families are invited to meet new principal Mr. O’Malley at the Green Meadow playground for popsicles and fun.

Red Mill Meet and Greet with Principal Derby
Red Mill students and their families are invited to meet new principal Mr. Derby at the Hampton Manor playground for popsicles and fun.

Rail Trail Meetup
Families can go for walks, runs, and bike rides on the rail trail. Enter the trail wherever you like and see who you run into! You can also park at Genet Elementary School and enter the trail at Route 4. Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kotes and Assistant Superintendent Lisa Mahar will be there with a cooler of popsicles!

ValleyCats Baseball Game
A district-wide community outing to enjoy a minor league baseball game together. Families can purchase their tickets through the ValleyCats online portal.

  • Friday, August 7 at 6:30 p.m. (postgame fireworks)
  • $8.50/ticket + processing fee of $1.50
  • We have a block of 150 reserved seats
  • Purchase Tickets (use code “egcsd”)

Summer Fun Day
A community event at Genet Elementary School featuring games, activities, food trucks, and community groups.

  • Saturday, August 29 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (rain date 8/30)
