Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

The East Greenbush Education Foundation raised $10,000 for summer enrichment grants at its annual gala on April 8 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Troy, N.Y.

The proceeds will provide opportunities for our students to attend camps and enrichment programs they may not be able to afford otherwise.

The popular springtime event featured dinner, raffles, student performances and an awards ceremony. Three alumni – Dr. James Baldwin ’72, Andria (Obermayer) Hanley ’84 and Andrea Neiman ’01 – were inducted into the Columbia High School Hall of Fame and Burke Adams received the Community Member Award.

“These inductees are people who have spent a great deal of their lives in service to others,” said Education Foundation President Steven Taylor.
