COVID Updates and Information

Effective immediately, all children ages 12-15 are eligible to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, meaning all state residents ages 12 and up can now be protected against COVID-19. The Rensselaer County Health Department will be hosting a Pfizer Vaccine Clinic for 12 to 15 year olds at the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College on Friday, May 14 from 3:00-6:00 p.m. Children must be accompanied by a parent and bring proof of age. Policy Manual

Board of Education policies are statements or guidelines that provide guidance and direction to school employees regarding many matters ranging from students to finance. There are two basic types of policies — those required by law and others developed as local policies of the Board of Education.

The policies of the Board of Education are reviewed periodically and some policies are required by New York State law to be reviewed annually. The Board of Education typically creates a board member policy review committee that meets outside of regular board meetings to review and develop recommended modifications to existing policies or the creation of new policies.

We value community input into the preparation and review of District policies. If you have comments, please forward them to the Superintendent of Schools by email SimonsJe@egcsd.org or by telephone 207-2531.
