Green Meadow Named 2021 National Blue Ribbon School

Green Meadow Elementary School was named a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education on Tuesday morning. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance. Green Meadow is one of only 325 schools in the country, including one of 19 schools in New York to receive the 2021 National Blue Ribbon School award. Congratulations to Green Meadow students, teachers, staff and families!

Safety, Health, and Wellness

The East Greenbush Central School District is dedicated to maintaining a safe and healthy learning environment for our students, staff and community. The District has a comprehensive safety plan and policies to promote health and wellness.

East Greenbush CSD has a comprehensive school safety program in accordance with Schools Against Violence in Education legislation. This includes a Safety Committee that meets regularly, a District-wide Safety Plan, and safety drills including fire, lockdown and lockout.


Report an Anonymous Tip

Whether you overhear something suspicious in school or see something threatening on social media, please report that information immediately. You can do this by telling a teacher or principal, or by anonymously submitting information on our online tip line EG Quick Tip.



The Dignity for all Students Act (DASA) was signed into law in September 2010. The law is designed to ensure that students throughout New York State attend school in a safe and supportive environment, free from discrimination, intimidation, taunting, harassment and bullying on school property, on school buses or at school functions. The East Greenbush Central School District is committed to providing all students an educational environment free of harassment and bullying.  As required by the legislation, each district school building has a Dignity Act Coordinator.  The district also has adopted a Code of Conduct that complies with the legal requirements of the Dignity Act.  For additional information, visit the district DASA page here.


Health and Wellness

As an educational institution, it is our goal to teach students about the benefits of living healthy and active lives through physical and health education classes.
