Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Pre-K Program

The East Greenbush Central School District offers a pre-k program to eligible four-year-old children. The program began in Fall 2021 with 36 students and it has expanded to 61 students for the 2022-23 school year. This includes one section each at Genet, Donald P. Sutherland and Red Mill Elementary Schools, and seven students at the Early Childhood Education Center.

Students are selected for the Pre-K Program through a random lottery after they’ve been entered by their parents with the Registration office.

All eligible applicants were entered into a lottery, which was held Monday, April 17, 2023 at 6:00 p.m. in the Genet Elementary School auditorium. The lottery, which was open to the public, was operated by an independent auditor.

The first 61 children drawn in the lottery are being offered spots in the Pre-K Program. All remaining applicants will be added to a wait list. View Pre-K Lottery Results.

If a student who was selected in the lottery is withdrawn from the program by their parents or they are determined to be ineligible, that slot will go to the next available child on the waitlist.
