Columbia hosted a High School Orientation night for parents of 8th graders on Thursday evening. Administrators and teachers presented important information about the transition to high school including graduation requirements, course offerings, scheduling information and special academic programs.

East Greenbush Central School District is hosting a free workshop for all parents on Tuesday, January 14 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. in the Columbia High School Auditorium to discuss moderating children’s use of technology. The workshop will cover the different levels of technology use, the effects of overusing technology and how to limit a child’s use of technology when it is all he or she wants to do.
