New York State announced Wednesday evening that effective immediately, all children ages 12-15 will be eligible to receive the Pfizer coronavirus vaccine, meaning all state residents ages 12 and up can now be protected against COVID-19. The state made the announcement following approval by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration on Monday and recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the NYS Clinical Advisory Task Force.
For the second year in a row, the District-wide Art Show must be held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. While our community cannot come together for this popular event, the dedicated art teachers from throughout the district have produced a Google Slides presentation so everyone can enjoy the outstanding work of our students.

The East Greenbush Central School District has updated its school calendar for this spring in response to recent information provided by the NYS Education Department.
Superintendent Jeff Simons is one of 92 school superintendents from the region to sign a letter on Tuesday advocating for further changes in school opening guidance that would result in a full reopening by the start of the next school year in September. The joint letter was sent to New York State Commissioner of Education Dr. Betty Rosa, county health departments and members of the New York State Assembly and Senate.
