Shortly before 9 a.m. this morning, smoke was found in the weight room at Goff Middle School. As a precaution, students are being evacuated to Columbia High School. All students and staff are accounted for. Local fire departments have responded and no injuries have been reported. Updates will be posted to the District website www.egcsd.org.
9:35 a.m.
The fire department has cleared Goff Middle School and students and staff are being returned to the building.
10:00 a.m.
Classes have resumed at Goff Middle School.
