Genet Elementary School students presented research findings at their annual STEM Fair on Thursday evening. Students displayed poster boards and used hands-on demonstrations to explain their projects to family members and their teachers.
The STEM Fair had 81 participants, the most since it began nine years ago as a science fair. Students chose a topic, formed a hypothesis, conducted experiments and then drew a conclusion.
Some of the topics included:
- Bacteria
- Density
- Electricity
- Hydroponics
- Osmosis
- Volcanoes
“Each year I find that I am more impressed with the quality of research and experimentation the students complete,” said Third Grade Teacher Joan Davis, who coordinated the event. “I love to see how proud the students are to show off their projects.”
