Green Meadow Named 2021 National Blue Ribbon School

Green Meadow Elementary School was named a 2021 National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education on Tuesday morning. The recognition is based on a school’s overall academic performance. Green Meadow is one of only 325 schools in the country, including one of 19 schools in New York to receive the 2021 National Blue Ribbon School award. Congratulations to Green Meadow students, teachers, staff and families!

Students who want extra help on their school work can sign up for the After School Homework Club which begins on Wednesday, October 4. The program is open to all students and will be available on Wednesdays and Thursdays for an hour after dismissal.

Students must sign up in the Guidance Office each time they would like to attend. There will be two math teachers and two teachers from other subjects at each session.

“We started this program last year and had very good participation from both students and teachers,” said Assistant Principal Michael Neumann. “This is an opportunity for our students to get some extra help in a one-on-one or small group setting.”
