Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

NYSPRA logoEast Greenbush Central School District won statewide recognition from the New York School Public Relations Association (NYSPRA) earlier this week for awards in writing and video.

  • Students Learn from a Galaxy Far, Far Away … (Excellence in Writing)
    Covered the excitement of Star Wars Day at Howard L. Goff Middle School in December. Students and teachers dressed in Star Wars costumes, and throughout the day, lessons in various subjects were taught to the theme of Star Wars, including coding, 3-D printing, and vocabulary. The initiative engaged students and made them excited to learn.
  • East Greenbush CSD Bus Purchase (Video)
    A five-minute video produced by Questar III BOCES to inform district voters about the proposed bus purchases and replacement of the existing bus purchase reserve fund ahead of the 2018 School Budget Vote and Board Election. The video was well received and each of the bus propositions passed with more than 70 percent approval.

Of the 511 entries from across the state in a variety of categories, about one third received awards.

This is the fourth consecutive year East Greenbush CSD has been honored by NYSPRA.
