Goff Middle School Teacher Assistant Natalia Multunas gave a presentation about her home country of Honduras to 7th grade Spanish students last week.
Mrs. Multunas, who immigrated to the United States at 15 years old, taught the students about the Honduran geography, cultural influences, history and economics. She also told the students of her struggles as a teenager moving to a new country and unable to speak English.
“It was a very successful and informative day for the students and staff who attended,” said Goff Spanish teacher Libby Zucker. “Most importantly, Mrs. Multunas delivered a great message about overcoming obstacles to reach one’s dreams.”
Thank you to Mrs. Multunas for sharing her experience with students, as well as bringing in many articles and artifacts.
