Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Good Afternoon Genet Families,

As you are all aware, recently Governor Cuomo extended school closures across the state until April 15, 2020. Our staff here at Genet has been working on creating additional materials for students during the extended closure. The packets of curriculum related materials have been assembled for students in the following grades: Kinderarten, First, Second, Mrs. Carlin and Ms. Corev’s classroom. There has also been packets created for individual students who will be contacted by their teacher to arrange a pickup. Pickup will be organized by your child’s Last Name. We ask that families pull up to the front of Genet and a member of our team will come to your car, ask for your child’s name, retrieve your child’s materials and bring them to you. These materials can be picked up at Genet on Wednesday, April 1, according to the schedule below.

All of our classrooms have been utilizing Google Classrooms for students and families where additional materials may be posted.

April 1, 2020 ~ Curriculum Resource Pick Up Schedule

Time Last Names
8:00-9:00 a.m. A-F
9:00-10:00 a.m. G-M
10:00-11:00 a.m. N-Z
If an alternate pick up time is needed due to extenuating circumstances, please contact the main office.

Learning materials for grades 3-5 are posted online in Google Classroom. There are no general grade level curriculum materials that need to be picked up. Students have previously been provided with logon information.

Our teachers will continue to utilize Google Classroom to communicate daily with students and families. Our team is also looking at how to host live meeting sessions with students to assist with work as needed as well as continuing to utilize our chromebooks to record ourselves for instructional purposes. It is the expectation that our students are checking in with their Google Classroom and teacher daily.

I am extremely proud of the Genet Team or all their hard work and dedication these past two weeks in embracing the technology and resources at our disposal to support our students during this unprecedented time. I would also like to thank all of you for your continued support and patience as we continue to work together.  We could not do this without your support to our school!

Yearbook Update from the PTO:

We all miss our students and I look forward to the day that we can all reunite at Genet in the near future!

Please feel free to email me or call the school with any questions Wednesday. We will do our best to respond in a timely manner and I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Sincerely,

Wayne Grignon
Principal
