Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Capital Project Update: Health and Safety Priorities Completed

The East Greenbush Central School District would like to provide an update on the Capital Project that was approved in 2017. To date, all of the major health and safety priority items have been completed at all schools, including new fire alarm and carbon monoxide systems, new security cameras, a new card access entry system and a new public address system.

This past summer, several bathrooms were renovated at Green Meadow, Red Mill and Goff to make them ADA compliant. New cabinetry was installed in classrooms at Green Meadow and Red Mill where bathrooms were enlarged. The gym floors at Green Meadow and Red Mill were refinished and new domestic hot water heating systems were replaced. Similar projects will be completed at other district schools next summer.

  • Provide daylighting controls on room lighting and replacement of failing occupancy energy management master controls on lighting – Goff, Green Meadow and Red Mill
  • Selected areas of exterior masonry repair – Goff and Red Mill
