Budget Vote and Board Election

The East Greenbush CSD Budget Vote and Board Election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 18. Polls will be open 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Bell Top, Donald P. Sutherland, Green Meadow and Goff. Please be advised that school parking lots will be busy due to school buses and parent pickup and drop off at the following times: Bell Top, DPS and Green Meadow (8:45-9:00 a.m. and 3:20-3:35 p.m.) and Goff (7:25-7:40 a.m. and 2:35-2:50 p.m.). The East Greenbush Central School District was notified today that an employee from Genet Elementary School has tested positive for COVID-19. The staff member has not had contact with students and has not been in the school since November 10. The district is in communication with both Rensselaer and Albany County Health Departments and there have been no identified exposures at the school.

There will be no impact on the school schedule related to this confirmed case of COVID-19.

As the number of cases of COVID-19 increases in our country and New York State, the district would like to remind everyone to maintain the strong habits we are developing as a school community:

  • Avoid large gatherings such as parties or unstructured situations which involve larger numbers of people coming into contact with each other.
  • Wear masks at all times when out in public, particularly when you cannot socially distance or when participating in such activities as club sports.
  • Wash hands with soap and water frequently and thoroughly. Use hand sanitizer when soap and water is not accessible.
  • Monitor for COVID-19 symptoms and in the event someone is sick, contact your primary care provider.

In the event that further developments occur or if additional information regarding this matter becomes available to our school district, the school community will be kept informed.
