Goff students baking cookiesSixth and seventh grade students in Kimberly DiGiorgi’s and Alysse Ouimet’s English Language Arts classes baked chocolate chip cookies together as part of a service project, as well as to spend some time together after the New York State tests last week. Students utilized the Home & Careers kitchen, where they gathered their materials to bake cookies.

Students enjoyed eating their own cookies, as well as baking several extra dozen that were then donated to the Nassau Resource Center food pantry that day.

“We hope a package of freshly baked cookies can brighten someone’s day,” said Mrs. DiGiorgi. “We also want our students to learn the importance of giving back to others and helping those less fortunate than us.”
