Board of Education Meeting/Budget Workshop – April 15

The next Board of Education meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Central Administration Conference Room. The meeting will include an update to the proposed school budget. The public may attend the meeting in person or watch the live stream.

Bell Top Celebrates ‘The Elephant in the Room’ at Family Reading Night

Students hold up drawings at the Bell Top Family Reading NightBell Top Elementary School hosted a Family Reading Night on Tuesday evening to go along with the “One District, One Community, One Book” program and its reading of The Elephant in the Room.

Students, their families and school staff gathered for a read aloud of two chapters in the cafeteria and then students participated in activities at different stations including:

  • Directed drawing of an elephant
  • Face painting
  • Making elephant charm bracelets
  • Making bookmarks
  • Coloring

“It was so nice to see the community come together to participate in a fun-filled evening of activities and enjoy a read aloud in each other’s company,” said Principal Martin Mahar. “It was heart-warming to see so many students with happy faces.”
