All students have returned to Red Mill Elementary School and the normal schedule has resumed.

The issue at Red Mill which forced an evacuation earlier this morning has been resolved. The fire department has tested all areas of the building and cleared it for a return to occupancy, therefore, students will be bused back to Red Mill to continue the school day.
Students who were brought home by their parents this morning can be dropped off at Red Mill starting at 11:30 a.m.
For the time being, there will be no hot water at Red Mill.
Normal lunch will be served.

All students who were evacuated from Red Mill have arrived at Genet. They are being supervised by teachers and staff and will be watching a movie in the auditorium.
National Grid responded to Red Mill and identified the issue with a hot water tank. Our Facilities Department is working on the issue and a determination about the remainder of the school day will be made in the next two hours whether students will return to Red Mill or students will be dismissed early for the day.

The Red Mill Kindergarten field trip to Animal Land is still on for today. Buses will be leaving at 9:30 a.m. from Genet Elementary School. Chaperones should report to Animal Land according to the original plans.

Due to a smell of gas inside Red Mill Elementary School, the building has been evacuated. All students (including Pre-K and GCC) have been temporarily relocated to the playground and will be bused to Genet Elementary School.
If you are dropping your child off at Red Mill today, please bring them home until further notice. If you cannot bring your child home, please drive them to Genet.
