Red Mill Elementary School fifth graders received their graduation certificates at the Red Mill Moving Up Ceremony on Thursday morning. Each of the fifth grade teachers and Principal Helen Squillace congratulated the students for their academic achievement, hard work and their good character.
Mrs. Squillace also shared some helpful advice as the students reach the milestone of completing elementary school.
“Don’t be in too big of a hurry to grow up,” she said. “These are some great times in your life. Don’t rush past them. Enjoy them and savor all the small and good moments in life! There are great things coming for you, and just as your parents and families are proud, each one of you should feel proud of yourself.”
Following the ceremony, students and families enjoyed refreshments which was sponsored by the PTO.
