Red Mill Elementary School students acted as the Three Little Pigs last week as they built structures out of different household items to see which one was strongest. The STEM activity was led by Regeneron volunteers in the art room.
Students used spaghetti and marshmallows for their first house and fettucine and gum drops for their second house. Then students built additional bases with gum drops and toothpicks. The students worked together in teams and at different stages, evaluated their structures and how they could be improved.
Special thanks to Regeneron for leading this fun activity!
