School Budget Vote and Board Election - May 21

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a school budget for 2024-25 that maintains all programs and services with a 0.55% tax levy increase, which is within the NYS Property Tax Cap. Residents will also vote on a $116 million capital project that would improve school facilities and grounds across the district with no impact to local taxpayers, the replacement of eight school buses, which if approved by voters, will be fully paid for by the Bus Purchase Reserve Fund, and elect three individuals to the Board of Education.

John’s Crazy Socks Fundraiser to Benefit Goff’s Garden Club

John's Crazy Socks logoThe Goff Garden Club has teamed up with a great company called John’s Crazy Socks – which was started by a boy with Down Syndrome. He and his family still run the company. By shopping here, not only are you supporting Garden Club, but you’re also supporting a really great company that gives back!

John’s Crazy Socks gives back in many ways:

  • They pledge 5% of their earnings to the Special Olympics
  • They donate 5% from their Sock of the Month Club to the Special Olympics
  • They donate 10% from their awareness socks to charity partners
  • They donate boxes of socks to nonprofits to use in fundraising efforts such as auctions and raffles
  • They support local and selected charities with donations
  • They operate a Charity Fundraising Program to help nonprofits raise money
  • They employ people of various abilities

How to Support this Fundraiser

All you have to do is shop at www.johnscrazysocks.com and enter code GOFF23 at checkout. This gives us credit for the sale AND you get a FREE pair of Mystery Socks with your order! 

Directions: At checkout, there is a link at the bottom of the first checkout page for you to click that says, “Charity Code holders, to add sock click here!” Enter code “GOFF23” – This adds a FREE Mystery Sock to your cart (a $10 value) and it will give our club credit for the sale. The Mystery Socks will be marked “free” and we will get credit for the sale and your free socks will be deducted from your total. Shipping is free for orders over $24. 

The fundraiser will be running from November 8th through December 6th.
