Goff Middle School students made fruit kabobs during Family and Consumer Science class on Monday.

Howard L. Goff Middle School students put on their aprons and whipped up a delicious and healthy snack on Monday in the Family and Consumer Science classroom. They made fruit kabobs with pineapple, cantaloupe and grapes with an apple cinnamon dipping sauce.

The students followed instructions from Hannaford Dietician Stephanie McNear RD, LD who showed them how to wash and cut the fruit and how to make the yogurt-based sauce. She also explained the nutritional benefits of each of the ingredients.

At the end of the lesson, the students enjoyed the fruits of their labor by eating the fresh fruit off of skewers.
