The East Greenbush Teachers Association completed its annual Valentine drive for local senior citizens this past week. The EGTA collected more than 1,000 Valentine cards made by students and EGTA members, and then delivered them to local senior housing facilities, including Evergreen Commons, Van Rensselaer Manor, Rosewood Gardens, and the Eddy Hawthorne Ridge.
Many teachers came up with creative ideas for Valentines, including Minions, science puns, multi-lingual Valentines, and so many more.
“We appreciate the time and care our teachers took with their classes, and the students’ beautiful work to make this a reality yet again,” said Hannah Wunsch, Goff Music Teacher and EGTA representative.
