To complement Columbia’s emphasis on STEM, the CHS Library and Technology Department are launching a joint venture to create a LEGO Makerspace where students can build robots.
The Makerspace – a collective workshop – will allow students to meet, work and collaborate on this project in the school library.
“This will give students the opportunity to build, program and create their own robots,” said Career and Technology Education Chair Steve Ford. “It is our hope that this experience will help foster an interest in engineering and technology as well as make use of library resources.”
If you are willing to donate any LEGO products, please bring them to the CHS Library circulation desk.
