The winter sports season schedule has been adjusted by the New York State Public High School Athletic Association. Only “low-risk” sports as determined by the NYS Department of Health, which includes Boys’ and Girls’ Bowling, are permitted to start on December 14. “High-risk” winter sports including Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball, Competitive Cheer, Ice Hockey and Wrestling have not been approved by the state.
Superintendent Jeff Simons notifies families of changes to the 2020-21 school calendar and that the district will adopt remote learning for snow days. These changes are being made to ensure the district meets the number of required student attendance days during this abnormal school year.

East Greenbush Central School District wishes our entire school community a Happy Thanksgiving! All schools will be closed from Wednesday, November 25 through Friday, November 27. Schools will re-open on Monday, November 30.
The East Greenbush Central School District was informed today that a Questar III student who attends a program at Columbia High School has tested positive for COVID-19. The student was last in school on November 18, which was a Live Virtual Wednesday for Columbia students. Due to the length of time that has passed since then, the Rensselaer County Health Department has advised us that there is no need for contact tracing and no one needs to quarantine due to possible exposure.
