Capital Project

The East Greenbush CSD has proposed a $116 million capital project that, if approved by voters, would improve facilities and grounds at all seven schools at no additional cost to the local taxpayer. The proposed capital project will be a proposition on the School Budget Vote and Board Election ballot scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, 2024.

Green Meadow signDear Green Meadow Families,

I think spring has finally arrived!  Our students are enjoying outdoor recess. Let’s hope the nicer weather is here to stay!

I would like to extend a big THANK YOU to our student body, parents, and staff for making our school wide Reading Initiative and Literacy Fair a huge success. Collectively, our students read more than 100,000 minutes! It was great to see so many great projects on display at the fair. I was so impressed with the number of families and staff members that spent the evening with us to enjoy the projects. As part of this initiative, we also helped out a worthy cause. Our students raised over $2,000 for the Ronald McDonald House!

The Annual Green Meadow Carnival held in March was a great success. It was good to see so many students and their families enjoying themselves while participating in the many activities. The event raised much needed funds for our PTO. Please join me in thanking the many volunteers who made this event possible!

I am happy to announce that we recently received a grant from the Stewart’s Shops Holiday Match program. These funds will be used to purchase supplies for our character education program and our Maker Space classroom. On behalf of the entire Green Meadow staff, I would like to thank Stewart’s for their generosity.

All parents and community members are invited to attend our PTO meeting on April 9th at 7:00 p.m. in the cafeteria. Our Superintendent of Schools, Mr. Jeffrey Simons, and Assistant Superintendent for School Business Finance, Mr. Larry Edson, will present the proposed 2019-2020 School Budget. This is a great opportunity to ask questions and be informed.

Lastly, I hope all of our students and families have an enjoyable and relaxing vacation.

Best regards,

Daniel G. Garab
Principal of Green Meadow Elementary School
