New Animal Symbols Help Elementary Students Identify Buses
In an effort to continue to improve transportation services for our families the elementary bus routes will now feature a colored animal symbol paired with the route number, making it easier for younger students to identify their assigned bus.
Teachers and Staff Return for 2026-27 School Year
All teachers and staff in the East Greenbush Central School District returned to school Tuesday morning for the first of three days of meetings and professional development. Employees filled the Columbia High School auditorium where they were welcomed by Superintendent of Schools Dr. Kurtis Kotes.
Breakfast and Lunch Menus – September 2026
School cafeterias will be serving Pizza, Mandarin Orange Chicken, Hot Dogs, Sandwiches, Salads, and more in the month of September.

Board of Education Adopts 2026-27 Safety Plan
The East Greenbush Central School District Board of Education adopted the 2026-27 District-wide Safety Plan at its public meeting on Wednesday evening. The plan outlines the district’s response to emergencies, the types of safety drills to be completed each year and the School Resource Officer agreements.
