Columbia’s Mathematics League finished up the 2018-2019 year by winning first place in their Regional Division. More than 150 students participated in the New York Mathematics League contests, held monthly after school. The top scores were then calculated to create the team score.
Individual standouts for Columbia were Sam Koblensky, scoring the overall highest cumulative points on the contests and winning a gift certificate, Tyler Pearson (2nd place), and Ryan Wei, Connor Hurley and Nina Tedeschi (tied for 3rd).
Thanks to Stewart’s Shops for their donation of ice cream coupons to all eligible participants. Advisor Mrs. Marilyn Thompson looks forward to another great year! Congratulations!
