Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Green Meadow Recycling Club students The Green Meadow Recycling Club collected a mountain of plastic shopping bags from students in December, and in return, gave out reusable tote bags with “GreenER Meadow” written on them. The plastic bags, all 3,600 of them, were later brought to Target where they will be recycled by the company.Students holding reusable tote bags

“I am so proud of our students,” said Principal Daniel Garab. “This project not only had a positive impact by recycling plastic shopping bags, but it taught students how reusable bags can help the environment.”

The project was organized by 4th Grade Teacher Leila Fuleihan and Teaching Assistant Jennifer Cuttler.

Special thanks to the Green Meadow PTO for purchasing the Green Meadow Reusable Bags!
