Rensselaer County District Attorney Mary Pat Donnelly and Schodack Police Officer Rich Eckel attended Green Meadow Elementary School’s Character Education assembly last week to discuss citizenship with students. The two guests answered questions from Student Council members about their careers, their roles in the community and how students can promote positive citizenship in school.
The assembly also included an introduction to the school’s Soup-a-Bowl can drive that supports the local food pantry, character awards for students, a presentation about the Ronald McDonald House reading program and a musical performance by students.
