Dear Parents and Guardians,
I want to thank all of you for the support you have given your children and our staff during this unprecedented school closure period. The positive nature and calm everyone has shown in facing new challenges while acclimating to alternative methods of teaching and learning has been incredible. Our students learn directly from the way we cope and adapt, and our Green Meadow community has set a positive example for our children.
There are important dates and information to share with you as we approach the last weeks of school.

We are committed to celebrating and honoring our 5th graders by providing our students the sense of accomplishment and happiness they deserve as they complete their education at Green Meadow Elementary School. While we are not able to do the type of large gathering moving up ceremony, we do plan to celebrate our students on Friday, June 12th. Details will be sent in a separate communication to our 5th grade families as we finalize them. Tentative schedule as follows:
- Mrs. Cohen & Mrs. Reinstein: 9:30 – 10:30
- Mrs. Schreck & Miss Caporta: 10:45 – 11:45
- Miss Mahar: 12:00 – 1:00
Chromebooks
All students with an assigned chromebook will keep their chromebooks at home this summer and bring them back to school when we return in the fall. Fifth graders will also keep their chromebook, and bring it to Goff Middle School as they transition to 6th grade in the fall. If you are moving out of the district, please notify our main office ASAP so arrangements can be made to return the chromebook. If moving, please email Mrs. Nolette at Nolettjo@egcsd.org.
If you have any questions, please reach out to me or your child’s classroom teacher.
Sincerely,
Daniel G. Garab
Principal
