Kindergarten Returns Full Time Starting March 1

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Columbia student parking lotColumbia High School will accept student parking applications starting the first week of September for any student with a valid driver’s license, registration and proof of insurance. Please email all the necessary documents along with a copy of the application to Shannon MacFarland at macfarlandsh@egcsd.org

Due to the reduced number of students who will be on campus each day this school year, parking will be open to all students who currently hold a license, including both seniors and juniors. The fees for a Parking Permit have also been waived for the 2020-21 school year. In the event that school returns to full time in-person instruction, the 271 parking spaces will be available to senior students first with remaining spots awarded by lottery.
