COVID-19 Updates and Information

The Board of Education has approved two changes to the instructional model: 1) Kindergarten students will resume five days a week of in-person learning starting on Monday, March 1. The Full Remote Program is still available to families. 2) Live Virtual Wednesdays will be eliminated for students in grades 1-5 starting March 10 to provide one additional in-person school day every other week. March 10 will be an in-person school day for B Day students and A Day students will have a remote day. The schedule will alternate going forward.

Dear Green Meadow Families,

We are entering a busy period here at Green Meadow! Please make note of the happenings below.

12/14 (A day) & 12/15 (B Day):  Our PTO is sponsoring a live virtual assembly titled, “Uncharted Wild.”  This will be a live virtual show featuring reptiles and exotic animals.  Our full remote classes have also been invited to attend.  Thank you PTO!

Our Student Council has planned some fun spirit days:

12/17 & 12/18: Red, Green, or Winter Theme Days! Dress in your most festive or winter attire.

12/21 & 12/22: Comfy Cozy Days! Wear your PJ’s or comfy clothes!

Our student council sponsored food drive to benefit the CoNSERNS-U food pantry continues through 12/18.  Please consider donating to this worthy cause.

With winter upon us, I’d like to remind you that we try to go outside on a daily basis, unless it’s raining or the temperature is extremely low.  Please make sure your child comes to school dressed appropriately for outdoor winter play.  All clothing items should be labeled with the child’s name.  Many hats, mittens, and gloves look alike!  It’s also recommended that your child wear a sweatshirt or some additional layers in the school.  We have windows open for more fresh air.

As a reminder, if your child is absent from school due to illness, please be sure to follow the Return to School Procedures which can be found on our website. You may also call our health office if you have any questions.

I hope you all have a Happy Holiday Season!

Sincerely,

Daniel G. Garab
Principal
