Sixth grade students from Howard L. Goff Middle School participated in the 13th annual Student Art Exhibit at the Empire State Plaza. The exhibit, held each year during National Youth Art Month, invites students (K-8) to interpret the Plaza Art Collection and create their own artwork.

“Our students looked at the artist Joan Mitchel and experimented with tempera paint, line, textures and colors to represent places that are important to their individual identities,” said Goff Art Teacher Amy Dunaief. “Each student had a voice in creating a finished map that represents the places we all value.”

The exhibition is on display at the South Concourse until March 27th.
