As the pandemic continues to improve and we return to normalcy, the East Greenbush Central School District has determined that Columbia Graduation and Goff Elevation Celebration will be held at their traditional venues and operated under normal conditions this year.
Graduation
Columbia High School is planning to host an in-person Graduation ceremony on Saturday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College.
A survey was sent to all seniors and their parents and the majority of respondents favored the Saturday morning ceremony, which was the tentative date when the school calendar was created last year.
Graduation Details:
- Saturday, June 25 at 10:00 a.m. in the McDonough Sports Complex at Hudson Valley Community College
- Tickets will not be dispersed as their is sufficient seating capacity for all students and their families
- Masks are optional
- There is a mandatory rehearsal on Friday, June 24 at 10:00 a.m. in the Columbia Auditorium. At that time, graduating students will receive their caps and gowns.
- Graduation will be live streamed for free at www.egcsd.org
Elevation Celebration
Goff Middle School is planning to host an in-person Elevation Celebration for the 8th grade class on Friday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Columbia gymnasium. As in years past, each student will be able to invite up to four guests to this event.
Elevation Celebration Details:
- Friday, June 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Columbia gymnasium
- Each student will be allotted four tickets for guests to attend the event
- Masks are optional
- Rehearsal will be done during the school day the week of Elevation Celebration
- Elevation Celebration will be live streamed for free at www.egcsd.org
