East Greenbush CSD Announces Half Days for June 23-24

In anticipation of extreme heat this week and its impact on health and safety in schools, the East Greenbush Central School District will have half days for grades PK-8 on Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24. The current weather forecast shows temperatures in the mid-90s and a heat index reaching 105 degrees.

Five Columbia High School students earned medals at the SkillsUSA Regional Competition on March 16 at Schenectady County Community College (SCCC) and the Stratton Air National Guard Base.

During the day-long event, students enrolled in technical programs through their local BOCES competed in events such as servicing automobiles, preparing dinners, and styling hair. There was also a competition in job skill demonstration, related technical math, and prepared speech.
