Meet the Candidates Night – Wednesday, May 13

Residents will have the opportunity to meet the four Board of Education candidates on Wednesday, May 13 at 7:00 p.m. in the Howard L. Goff Middle School cafeteria for Meet the Candidates Night. There are three open seats in this year’s election, which is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19. Each of the four candidates will discuss their qualifications and answer questions. The event will be hosted by the League of Women Voters.

Social Studies Department Offers Review Classes for U.S. History Regents Exam

The Columbia Social Studies Department is offering two Regents Review classes in advance of the U.S. History Regents Exam, which is scheduled for Wednesday, June 1.

Since the exam falls on a day after an extended Memorial Day weekend, the U.S. History teachers are offering TWO review classes open to all juniors on Tuesday, May 31. As there are no classes that day, buses will not be available, so students will have to either drive or be dropped off at school and picked up after the review session ends.
